Vintage Potholders

Admittedly, I have a lot of pot holders.  They are all in relatively good condition considering they were made to be used.  I have collected them mainly in America.  I have never seen them over here in the UK.  I am not sure why perhaps they didn't have the yarn during the war years or shortly afterwards - rationing went on a long time in the UK.  Conversely in the US it disappeared shortly after 1945.  I'm not sure how they took things out of the oven but apparently they didn't glam them up like the US did.  Shame really as I would love to have some from both sides of the Atlantic!
